Bangladesh Hindu, Buddha & Christian Unity Council and 17 other minority-organizations, demanded not to nominate any sectarian or extremist candidate from any of the political parties, for the upcoming parliamentary election. They gathered for a press-conference at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity Auditorium, on Friday. Their Coordinator Comity’s General Secretary Rana Dasgupta represented them, as the host-speaker at the event.

Rana said, there are many actively sectarian politicians today. Even, many already were in the power, who used such sectarian rivalry for their selfish personal gains. There were even acts of oppression & brutal violation of human-rights.

He added, the minorities panic & get scared even more during the election season. Since, such sectarian extremism reaches the level of pure savagery during this time. Therefore, if any of the sectarian or extremist political candidate stands for the next parliament election, voting will be boycotted at those electoral areas.
