She had been to Switzerland to attend Davos meet of the World Economic Forum. We know by now that Davos meet is considered an important development meet of the global leaders on socio-economic sectors. She went there to make her points as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. As reported, she took her stand regarding proposed Rampal coal power plant. She answered strongly to queries by Al Gore and others.
Outside the conference she took time off to relive those days that she lived years ago in exile. The two sisters were in Germany in 1975 when Bangabondhu and his family were killed by a few black sheep of the army. It was a great a view to see the two sisters (Hasina and Rehana) enjoying the snow in the mountains of Switzerland.

Our PM, whom I call, the daughter of Bengal, is, of lately, more into her childhood. The picture showing the two playful smiling sisters is a lovely view of the human bonding and the nature in the background. One of the most picturesque lands of the world, Switzerland, recreated the perfect scenario for the PM. The winter there is white and beautiful.
She is seen playing with snow and putting some on Rehana’s cap. It makes me nostalgic, when I recall those days in London and Osaka, playing in the snow, with friends and peers. I am sure the fond memories will come surging in everyone’s mind when they see the only surviving members of the sheikh family smiling in the snow.
Back home there she travels on a rickshaw van along with her nephews family.
Her granddaughter in her lap…how she smiles and enjoys the moment. It again reminds us of country ride. The country sides are a lovely place, especially in winter. The winding paths and yellow fields, make the winter more refreshing. May be the ride on a rickshaw van makes it even more interesting when someone like Sheikh Hasina, the busy Prime Minister, take a ride on a van. We can see the village girl in her, the daughter of Tungipara. See her smiles.
I wonder what made her happier, the snow in Swiss mountains or the muddy path of Tungipara?
