Often after doing a lot of things, from workout to diet we cannot reach the goals that we aim for. Why is fat loss so cruel? Why cannot we look like that person in the fitness magazine or our favorite actor who is ripped to bones! Let me introduce some of the reasons, which probably you can relate to
.We want progress at a magical rate: sit back and think, how many months did it take you to become fat. If you look back, then probably you will find that the count is not in months rather in years. Yes it is true, fat deposition does not occur overnight and thus it will never disappear overnight either. You have to be patient. Such poor ideas basically grow from various adverts thrown at us. Don’t fall in such traps and admit the fact that fat loss will take time.
.Yo-yo dieting: This is something I see the most. We start a diet and we leave it in the middle of the road for another. Then we think why we are not losing body fat. Stick to a plan. It is immensely important to do so. To see major changes you have to be with one diet for some time. Don’t hop from one diet to another. At the initial stages every diet works as long as you follow it with some dedication.
.Taking cheat days too seriously: you just started a diet, allowed six days to pass and then on the seventh day you upload a status saying its #cheatday #hardworkpayoff #etc #etc. Even at the back of your mind you know that you are not doing the correct thing. You do not need those “all day” cheat meals. Probably you are the one who needed it the least. Instead, to spice up your life go for a dessert treat on a weekend, which probably is good enough cheat meal.
.Too much “you Tubing”: I know YouTube is the modern day library for almost everything. But it is probably also making you confused than ever. There are so many fitness and nutrition channels out there and you do not know which one to follow, or who is authentic. Different views of the fitness gurus can easily make you feel frustrated. In most cases to popularize their channel they even will say things that are totally unreal. A confused soul will never see progress.
.Your goals are super ambitious: get this straight, if you are doing a job with a decent earning, dream of a normal car is more justifying than a luxury car (well at least in the short run). If you are not doing the same thing with your fat loss goals then you are doing it totally wrong! How? If you are dieting and comparing your progress with a role model on steroid, then you are going nowhere!
