4 Types of Difficult People

Not all the people we meet are easy to deal with. So to detect the difficult people in your life, you have to keep in mind these four specific types. You have to identify which type they fall into. But we also have to keep in mind that we all might fall into one of these types at times considering the amount of lemons life can give us sometimes.

    The Types:
The first type is the ‘Downers’. The people who fall into this type just suck out the energy from a place by their presence. They keep complaining, they don’t like anything, be it people, products, arrangements, life overall. Next are the people who show off.
They name drop in everything. They always try to say things that make them look better than others. For example, if they had just been to abroad, they will flaunt about it or will not miss any chance to pat on their backs.
The next type includes people who are passive in everything. They are so low confident that they don’t have a voice. When you ask about their opinion, they just leave it to you saying ‘whatever you decide’.
They are afraid of human interaction because they don’t think they are worth it. The next type is the bossy people. They are very explosive and hard to deal with. They come in and start being a control freak. They are actually very emotional and so want to have their mark in everything.

    Find the Source:
Once you have identified the personalities you cannot go on fixing them. If you try to bring out the passive person into light, they just start being shyer. These types of people flip opposite way when you want to change them. So the best way to deal with them is to understand them. You should try to find their value language by searching for the source of their personality. So typically the people who like to be showy or the ‘better-than you’ people think themselves as very knowledgeable. The passives want to be in the submissive kind of end in their relationships. So ask them questions that can make them open up to you.
So when you see the tempered people or control freaks being angry as usual, you can ask them questions about their passion project or daily life. This will bring them in the mood for discussion.

    How to Deal:
Next step is important for your safety. You have to make sure that they are not addicted to you or not so clingy to you. So you actually cannot take them with you to parties where their feelings might be hurt or they might set boundaries for you in your way of enjoying the event. So set up boundaries on topics or time so that they don’t get to be toxic to you. Another thing that you should avoid is becoming or acting like them you need to understand the other person, not copy him. So understand them, get them talk about the things they are interested in or excited about and they will eventually come out of their shell.
