    Ahhh… On these hot days I’m sure for many of us, a can of cold coca-cola is a heaven sent relief. Coca-Cola or better known as coke, is one of the most recognized brands in the world from pole to pole, this is not surprising since coca cola sells its products in over 200 countries. Even that’s not accurate because there are 500 different brands under the Coca-Cola branch which produces and sells more than 3,500 words. It is currently worth over $74 Billion, which is more than Budweiser, Pepsi, Starbucks and Red Bull combined. Here are some facts of the company we have all come to love (despite the recent rumors in Bangladesh).
    Coca-Cola is the second most understood word in the word after “okay” 94% of the world’s population understands the word Coca-Cola. There are only 33 non-alcoholic beverages that generate over $1 billion in a year; Coca-Cola owns 15 of those 33.
    Coca-Cola spends more money on advertizing that Apple and Microsoft combined. No wonder they’re famous!
    Coca-Cola owns so many different brands of beverages that if begin trying them out today, apparently a study says that it would take you 5 years to try them all.
    Despite popular belief, coins or teeth do not dissolve in Coca-Cola even if they are left for months.
    At one point in time, till the year 1903 to be exact, every glass of Coca-Cola contained about 9 milligrams of cocaine. Talk about getting high. Wonder if that’s where the word coke comes from.
    Years ago, Coca-Cola declared an all out war campaign on water titled “Just Say NO! TO H2O!”
    It takes 2 liters of water to make 1 litre of coke, in fact in one year they use over 290 billion litres of water.
    The inventor of Coca-Cola was heavily addicted to morphine and died two years after the brand was launched.
