Ever wondered what it might be like to date a journalist? You must have heard the many rumors that they are workaholics (but hey that’s just dedication), they might be bossy (I would rather say they are misunderstood). Well no matter the prejudices and smirks out there I’m here to put your worries to rest; take it from the lips or rather words of this reporter-IT’S AWESOME! And I’m going to list just why.
* They know all the coolest places in town: Stereotypes paint us a boring, desk type people who sit around and only talk about breaking news but hey guess what we have a LIFE! We know what’s going on when and where and how, we even get free passes to concerts and restaurants’. We know what’s trending and hip. So your loss if you don’t go out with one of us!
* Creativity to the next level: We are bound to be the most interesting people you meet. No mushy stuff here you’re bound to get 100% original proposals, letters, texts and events. Our creativity extends beyond the desk and into real life where it matters.
* Endless conversation: Yes, we do stay on the telephone or the computer most of the day and that makes us well informed and perfect listeners. Talking, listening and having an endless stock of information is what we have. So do you need someone who can be nerdy and cool at the same time and discuss anything under the sun from politics to celebrity scams! I guess not.
* Money comes second: We have a passion for life and work, what we do from our heart, money is part of a job well done but it comes second to getting pleasure off the work. Remember life is not about minting money, it’s so much more, its experiences and fun and we do get freebies from time to time which we like to share.
* Stick to your word: Integrity and sticking to your words is a hallmark of journalists. After all we gain peoples trust, extract information, and keep the privacy of various sources. So yea can you ever find a person who will most probably never break your trust and will always keep your secrets safe?
* Multitaskers: We have deadlines and work under high pressure. In between all this we must keep track of information, sources; breaking news all in all we are the ultimate multitaskers, so just imagine what dynamite we could produce while being in a relationship. You will be welcomed to a hug, kisses and dinner even after a hard day’s work at the office, no biggie.
* Space Constrictions: ye of little faith shall have none of the sort. We have too important of a job to be too fussy about trivial matters. No nagging about going out with your girls or fishing with the boys. You won’t be bothered at the end of the day with a million question of an itinerary of what you did all day, that doesn’t mean we don’t care we do and we trust you enough to know what you will tell us something we need or might want to know. But we won’t go in like a groundhog rooting out all your itty bitty details.
* Hardworking: Just as we multitask we have a lot on our minds 24/7 but that doesn’t mean that we won’t have time for you. Oh sweetie buns that will never happen. Just as we give our all at work you can expect the same treatment at home. We work extra hard to make things work out, things might go awry at time but that’s what relationships are about, all that matters is how fast you get back on track.
So there you have it all in a nutshell… Now tell me folks can there be any reason that is holding you back from dating you journo next door. Hope not or you just might be missing out on the time of your life.
