Sports Entertainment or more specifically Pro Wrestling is a multi billion dollar corporation. ‘Where half naked men fight for belts’ would be a common source of cheap humour.
Nonetheless, the business of Pro Wrestling has been a mainstay in the field of Entertainment for decades. And the grandest stage of Pro Wrestling today is the WWE.
Owned by Vincent Kennedy McMahon, WWE has ruled the Wrestling business since the Territorial era, throughout the Attitude Era and still holds the crown in what we, the Wrestling freaks call the PG Era. They’ve put other companies such as AWA, CCW, WWWF, WCW and more out of business.
The skill of WWE, and professional wrestling in general, is to not hurt your opponent, whilst simultaneously making it look like you’ve just personally signed their death warrant.
The fact is that a vast amount of the moves performed by the guys in the ring are completely safe, but only if you know the secret. Copying many of these outside the ring could legit put you in hospital if you’re lucky, or perhaps the morgue if you’re unlucky.
Having said that let’s look at 5 of the most lethal moves in Pro Wrestling which you should try on your 11 year old sister. I’m kidding.
DON’T. TRY. THIS. AT. HOME. There, all better now.
1. Coup De Grace:
Easily one of the most lethal moves present today.
The Coup De Grace is the signature move of Current NXT Champion Finn Balor. Done wrong, this move will shatter your ribs into a million pieces.
2. The Canadian Destroyer
This move is so life-threatening, the move is currently banned in Pro Wrestling. But, this is the most incredible move I’ve seen out there in the 14 years I’ve been watching Wrestling.
The move goes like this. You put your opponent in a powerbomb position and instead of hoisting him up, you perform a front flip, as a result putting maximum force on the neck, and invariably crushing it. This mive was used by Pete Williams.
3. The Vertebreaker
A popular counter to the Unprettier (also known as the Killswitch), the Vertebreaker is all kinds of bad news. Impact from this move largely depends on your head position, so at least you get to choose which bit of your anatomy gets smashed up.
4. Shattered Dreams
The crux of this one, gentlemen, is whether one can literally die from being kicked in the balls.
The Curb Stomp
Finally. The Man! The Architect! Seth-Freakin-Rollins!
Well, Seth, formerly known as Tyler Black used this move for years to ddecimate his opponents. But it has it’s risks. Done wrong, it can shatter your skull and cause brain hemorrhage.
