No, it is not hammers, spatulas, screwdrivers, or nuts; the iPhone is the most useful tool right now. However, if you are the type of user who does not know anything about their phone and just swipes away hoping for the best, you probably do not even know how great your phone is.
Here is a list of a few iPhone tricks that will make your life a whole lot easier:
• Quickly save web-clippings: Ever came across this great article or pictorial on the web, while you were browsing on your phone, but then later on you lost it, because you forgot the link? Well, the mail-to-self option is the solution for you. With this option you can mail yourself the link to the site.
• Longer words, less typing: Settings->General->Keyboard menu, is the way to go! An app called text replacement allows you to program your own text shortcuts. Like you could use “MIS” for “Misinterpreted”. Cool, right?
• The plumber hotline: I know some of you creeps actually wish you could date Siri, but she is a proud member of the AI family and you are better off giving her commands like “Text my wife” and she will text your wife. No kidding! When you save your wife’s number just say “*insert name* is my wife” and Siri will always remember.
• Life reminders: Let’s face it, our moms yelling at us is a better reminder than some bland pop up on our phone. So, Siri comes to the rescue once again. You can program her to remind you of certain things.
• Make the iPhone sing you lullaby: well…actually play them. You can put a clock on your playlist so that once you fall asleep, the music stops playing.
• More power: Put your phone to the low power mode and save that energy!
