Police recovered the slaughtered body of a sand trader from a residential hotel at Durgapur upazila town of the district on Friday.
The victim was Nurul Alam, 30, a sand trader who rented a room at the “Bichitra Guest House” where he was murdered.
Two persons were arrested in this connection, officer-in-charge of the Durgapur police station Khan Humayun Kabir said.
