Garments Worker’s Organizations demanded Prime Minister and Law minister Anisul Haque to intervene for the implementation of house rent control law in a human chain formed in front of National Press Club on Tuesday.
Bangladesh Garments Industry Federation President Towhidur Rahman said, “Thousands of garments workers live in this city, but a class of house owners is responsible for their misery. They don’t pay heed to any laws at all and increase the house rent every year. The low income people are suffering badly for this reason. “
The speakers also argued that the House Rent Control Law 1991 should implement to control those mischief house owners.
