There is one thing that both the makeup-obsessed and the Au Naturalé girls love, and that thing is lipstick! With the prices of lipsticks from high-end brands like MAC and Sephora’s Kat Von D being too high, girls nowadays are looking for cheaper drugstore alternatives. However, when you convert the prices of drugstore lipsticks like NYX and Colourpop liquid lipsticks from dollars to taka, it becomes 700 bucks each, which is still a lot for some people. Yours truly has found the cheapest and safest alternative for those of you who are a little low in cash.
Below is a tutorial on how to make lipsticks from Crayons!

    Things you will need
: Crayons ( DIY gurus recommend Crayola )
    : Vegetable oil/ Coconut Oil/ Petroleum Jelly/ Shea Butter
: Weekly medicine boxes, old lip balm box, or any other tiny container.
    : A small jar
    : A cooking pot
    : Water

    How to make it
Step 1: Unwrap the crayon and cut it into 3-4 slightly even pieces.
Step 2: Put your small jar on the center of the cooking pot, and add some water to it. Make sure that no water gets into the jar. Add about a teaspoon of Petroleum jelly/Shea Butter or two teaspoons of Coconut oil/ Vegetable Oil. Put the pot on the stove and warm it up slowly using low-medium heat.
Step 3: If you are using Shea Butter/ Petroleum Jelly/ Buttery Coconut oil, then you can add your desired colour of crayons after it has melted. If you are using Vegetable oil or liquid coconut oil, then just wait for it to heat up a bit, and then you can add your crayon. Make sure to add one piece of crayon per spoon, depending on how strong you want the colour to be. If you add too much crayon, the lipstick might get a little too dry, and if you add too little it might be a little too sheer. So add crayons to your preference of how you want your lipstick to be. You can mix two or three colours too, but make sure to adjust the proportions!
Step 4: After your crayons have fully melted into the oil, turn off the heat and let it cool for a while. Then use a spoon to scoop up the lipstick so that you can put it in your container of choice, and voila! You have created lipstick!

** SAFETY ISSUES: Crayons are made for kids so they are often non-toxic, and all the oils mentioned are natural, so they are not likely to cause any side effects. Besides, most lipsticks in the market contain lead anyways, and your homemade one cannot get any worse than that!
