    There has been always a craze in women for jewelries. It has been used in ancient Greece until 20th century. There is a story that in the 14th-century Arabian Sea, the traveler Ibn Battuta attaching a cord of pearls to the diver’s waist.
    We get the natural pearl from oysters. From the ancient time to present pearl jewelry has been a thing and will likely continue to have its presence in the future. In the past pearls were used to adorn clothing but now it is being harvested and cultivated.
    Till date there are varies types of pearl found. Whether it’s natural or cultured, they are formed when a mollusk produces layers of nacre around some type of irritant inside its shell. It’s very rare to find natural pearl in days, but Mollusks still produce it. The cultivated pearl and other pearls we get from different kinds of oyster. Basically it is cultivate in three different types of saltwater. No special cutting or polishing is required for their lustrous beauty, because since ancient times it has been treasured.
    Pearl was a part of gracefulness in the antiquated time for the aristocrat women. In this day in the international market the price of pearl is a bit expensive. But in Bangladesh pearl is affordable to all class of women. When a young woman wears her pearl necklace it still seems to be part of elegance. Recently in DCC market gulsan-2 there was survey based on which jewelry is used most. Its seen that pearl is the most used jewelry. A source also said that now in Bangladesh in different places pearl is being cultivated.
    In the recent international fashion trend use of pearl is seen in gold and silver jewelries. Even in one of Marilyn Monroe’s jewelry collection a simple sixteen inch pearl is seen. No matter how woman denies besides diamond pearl is the second valuable jewelry they treasure.
