2 ‘drug peddlers’ held in Cox’s Bazar

    Police arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 2,700 pieces of Yaba tablets from Burmese Market area in Teknaf upazila on Sunday night.

    Sub-inspector Abdur Rahim, second officer of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station, said they conducted a drive in the area and arrested Md. Shafi, 22, son of Jafar Alam, and Abdus Shakur, 22, son of Syed Alam, along with 2,700 pieces of Yaba tablets.

    Both the arrestees are the residents of Noyabazar villege of Hnila union parishad of the upazila.

    A case is filed in this connection with Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station.
