Two people died as they fell into a fuel tank at a filling station at Nayapur Haturapara in Sonargaon upazila on Monday.
Manjur Kader, officer-in-charge of Sonargaon Police Station, said Masum Mia, a worker of Chand and Surya filling station, slipped into a Mobil tank while working there in the afternoon .
Sensing the matter, the other workers of the filling station called security guard Hannan Mia to rescue Masum Mia.
Hannan Mia went missing when he entered the oil tank in search of Masum.
On information, a firefighting unit rushed in and recovered the bodies of the two people from the tank around 4:30 pm
