Two construction workers died and two others were injured from electrocution in the city’s Badda area on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as M Monir Hossain, 45, and Badshah Miah, 32, while the injured are Sajib and Raju.
Quoting the injured, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp in-charge Mozammel Haque said the four workers were lifting an iron grille to the rooftop of an under-construction building.
They were electrocuted around 3pm as the grille got electrified after it came in contact with a snapped live electric wire.
Later, they were taken to the DMCH where duty doctors declared Monir and Badshah dead around 4pm.
