We walk into trial rooms enthusiastically to try out all the outfits we just picked in front of the mirror, completely unaware of the probable danger it poses. A stalker might be invading your privacy all the while when you are feeling safe. Is there a way to know whether it is two way mirror or not?
Shine some light through
Make the room dark by turning off all illumination and shine a light through the mirror, a two sided mirror will reveal the other side.
Tap on the mirror test
Tap on the mirror and check the sound it produces. If the mirror is placed on a wall, it will give off a flat sound. However if you get a hollow sound, know that you are in trouble.
Try peering through the mirror
Use your hands to block the light out and peer through the mirror. If there is a room behind the mirror, chances are you can see it!
Your fingernail to the rescue
This method does not always ensure accuracy. If you place your fingernail on the surface of the mirror and see there is no gap, someone might be staring back at you from the other side.
