In the renowned city of United Kingdom named Bristol, a company named Coexist will be giving a temporary leave to their female workers during the time of their menstrual cycle. They organized a seminar on this so that they can set example and people around the world can have optimistic approach towards the menstrual cycle.
The director of Coexist Bex Baxter denoted that this is an attempt to coordinate work with body’s menstrual cycle. This promotes the awareness of the society towards the natural process of the body which they required to implement properly. Also, the respectful approach towards women is also ensured.
Coexist believes that for too longer period of time, there exists a taboo surrounding women’s menstrual cycle. The seminar’s organizing secretary and the leader of the project, Alexandra Pope believes that this consciousness will help both men and women to become more productive workforces at work places.
Coexist consists of 31 staffs where 24 of them are women. The company manages a housing corporation named Hamilton Housing in Stokes, managing spaces for activists, community association and artists. So, more than a half workforce is consisted of female workers.
Baxter believes that giving women a leave for their menstruation never makes the company unproductive. Rather this encourages women with proper respect to work with pure dedication. This makes the workforce more prominent and productive in every sense.
Baxter and her team will formulate the plan at 15th of March at their Hamilton House, and this will surely set a true inspiring example to the modern world. There they will build up a new model of work station of their company. The agenda of the seminar comprises of nurturing the well being of the coworker, building networks and bridges and pioneering a period policy permanently.
