Dhaka University authorities must be more vigilant to ensure a fair and transparent DUCSU election. Even a minor discrepancy could spell disaster. Therefore, the authorities must ensure a transparent electoral atmosphere through caution and diligence in order to prevent any disruption. Otherwise, the election would be in vain. Even though the election atmosphere hasn’t been completely optimistic, there still isn’t any reason yet to lose hope. Remember, we are having this election after overcoming much problems and crises. Thus, the authorities must be vigilant and the administration more responsible. The vanquished factions from the December 30 election could raise their voices against the DUCSU election. They might be anxious, but right now it is uncertain whether this election will follow the same route as the December 30 affair. Nevertheless, the main challenge in holding the DUCSU election lies with the Dhaka University authorities. If they don’t become the State’s sycophants, then hopefully this election will go smoothly.
