RU students sell artwork to save classmate’s father

DOT Desk: Sanzida’s father was suffering from cardiac problems.
When their family admitted him to a hospital in Bangalore in India, he was diagnosed with kidney problems as well.
The vastly increased medical expenses have dealt a stunning blow to the Master’s student at Rajshahi University and her family.
As Sanzida continued to fret over how to acquire Tk2.5 lakh on a short notice, her classmates came to her rescue.
They organized a two-day exhibition to sell artworks in order to raise the money.
Sharmin, one of her classmates, said: “We want to save a father.
A local band called ‘Swarabanjo’ is also helping us raise the money.”
