Old woman rescued in Feni

    DOT Desk: Police rescued an old woman, Mridul Saha, 80, from a house in No. 15 Ward of Feni Municipality, reports The Daily Observer.
    She is wife of late Haripad Saha and mother of three sons and two daughters. She was living in the house alone.
    On Tuesday, finding no response from inside the house, the neighbours informed the police, and later on police rescued ailed Mridul Saha alive. They admitted her to Feni District Sadar Hospital.
    Locals said the woman had been living in the house for the last four years. Her sons Bappi Saha and Bipul Saha are owners of rice godowns in Feni town.
    Her another son Sushanta Saha is a BCS cadre who lives in Cox’s Bazar while her two daughters Sharbari Saha and Sumi Saha live at their respective in-laws’ house.
    Civil Surgeon Dr Hasan Shahriar Kabir said they have kept her under observation as she might be affected with stroke and other ailments.
    Superintendent of Police SM Jahangir Alam Sarker said they are investigating whether her sons and daughters tried to kill her by keeping her alone in the house.
