Remove illegal establishments from roads within week: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has directed the authorities concerned to remove all illegal establishments along roads and highways across the country within a week.
Quader also lambasted Jatiya Oikyafront’s demand for arranging a fresh election, saying it is ‘ridiculous’ to question the 11thparliamentary election which received global recognition.
He urged Oikyafront to come to parliament to talk about their demands. Quader was visiting the Dhaka-Tangail Highway at Chandra in Gazipur yesterday when he made the comments, reports UNB.
“Democratic countries across the globe, even Pakistan, have recognized the election,” he said adding, “In such a situation, Oikyafront’s demand for fresh polls is just ridiculous.”
