    Mark Zuckerberg is the personification of a lone-entrepreneur model: a college dropout and technology disrupter. But it is alo trure that Mark had many influential support, including Steve Jobs. In fact, Zuckerburg credits Jobs with teaching him about building strong teams and keeping the company focused. Undoubtedly, that connection helped Mark turn Facebook into what it is today. Fortunately, you can now upgrade your chances of being well connected.
    Thanks to resources like email, social media, and networking conferences, becoming a well-connected entrepreneur is more possible today than ever before.

    1.Have substantive conversation: Instead of saying just ‘hello’, make your conversation more useful. Talk about different issues that can be beneficial to you both. The medium could be anything starting from phone, lunch, coffee, social media.

    2.Always seek to add value: Always try to do something that might help make things easier for your clients. Build connections so that it might later add value to your position as well as to your reputation. This will create and reinforce trust between you, and they’ll always be happy to hear from you, knowing that you have their back.

    3.Attend relevant industry events: Many of us might think that attending events is an extra job and skip it as a result, but that is not the solution. You should attend every relevant event there is so that you can build the proper connections with established colleagues, peers, and clients and to meet and develop relationships with new ones.

    4.Take engagement seriously: Never take your assignments lightly. If you have to build connections, you have to keep your appointments at the top of your head. Influence technology to keep in touch so you don’t end up losing a connection that could prove valuable down the road.

    As you publish newsletters, articles, and books, make sure those in your network are aware of them to stay in touch and top of mind, and provide more value to them at the same time.
