The Opening Convocation & Freshers’ Reception-2019for the newly-enrolled students of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) held at its campus on 02 January (Tuesday)2019. BUP Vice Chancellor Maj Gen Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, techaired the programme. At the beginning of the ceremony, selected representatives carry faculty flags in the front while Deans, Other Senior Officers and Faculty Members of respective Faculty have their seats through flag procession and fanfare bearing. The programme was begun with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. BUP Registrar Brig Gen Md Mahboob Sarwar, ndc, afwc, psc, G+delivered welcome speech. Vice Chancellor alluded in his speechvarious University disciplines and also encouraged the students to attentive to their study to contribute in the ongoing development process of Bangladesh. It is noted thatthe programme was organized for newly enrolled 1250 students of 16 departments under 4 faculties of BUP. Moreover, Professor of BUP Bangabandhu Chair, Dr. Syed Anwar Husain and BUP Pro-VC Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhDspoke on the programme. Among others, BUP High Officials, Faculty Members, Freshers’ and their Guardians were also present at the programme.
