No violence if govt presents no barriers to people’s desires

Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury speaks to DOT :
If the government does not present any obstacles in the fulfillment of the people’s desires then there will be no scope for violence surrounding the election.
Hopefully, the people will be able to vote as they choose in this election, to elect their chosen representatives. There is no chance for unrest surrounding the election. General people going to vote will not suffer any kind of disturbance.
This will be a peaceful election if the government does not create any obstructions in promoting sufficient voters.
This year’s election has been the most inexpensive one ever, because the opposition parties like the Jatiya Oikyafront and BNP could not even campaign properly.
    Campaigning isn’t everything, though.
In a democratic nation, the people are the source of its power. The people exercise their voter rights to elect their chosen representative. Thus, everything now depends on the people’s votes.
Dr. Zafrullah is the founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra.
