A worker was killed and two others suffered burn injuries in a compressor explosion at a factory in Dhaka’s Shyampur area on Wednesday morning, reports The Daily Observer.
The deceased was identified as Nasir, 35, a worker of Alam Rubber Factory.
Hridoy Hossain, one of Nasir’s co-workers, said a compressor machine suddenly blasted.
with a big bang when the three workers were working, leaving them injured.
They were whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where Nasir succumbed to his injuries around 10:10am.
