The Editors Council, a platform of newspapers editors in Bangladesh, on Wednesday sent a letter to the chief election commissioner asking him to take necessary steps on transportation of journalists and newspapers during the general election, reports New Age.
The council in the letter citing its meeting on the day requested the commission to ensure free movement of vehicles carrying journalists and people related to mass media on the day before the election, the election day, and the day after election. It particularly mentioned of motorcycles carrying journalists and vehicles carrying newspaper and newspaper related people.
