France has banned all the supermarkets from throwing away or spoiling unsold food by law. The law was voted unanimously by the French senate last week. Petition was launched by Courbevoie councilor Arash Derambarsh. Till now, supermarkets usually poured bleach over the discarded food. The reason for this was also to food diversity in the country for greater good. Since there has too much meat consumption than vegetables in the country. By reducing the daily storing opportunities this will balance out the market. All the supermarkets are to sign agreements with the charities and food banks for daily donation. The law is very strict and in action already. It may fine up to 3750 Euros, against the companies might refuse to cooperate.
