Country’s economy showing upward trend

Prof Dr Atiur Rahman : The 11th parliamentary election is almost upon us. Till now there is no negative sign that the country’s economy will suffer due to activities surrounding the elections. The money circulation has increased in the rural areas and there is nothing to worry about it. The economy will gain momentum. It will have no adverse impact on the macro economy with the increased money circulation in the rural areas. Rather, it will create demand further. Small entrepreneurs like tea vendors, van pullers, meat traders and decorator owners will benefit from the increased demand.

Our economy is now faring well and it is showing upward curve. I think the voters will get on such train which will expedite the economy further. People will not choose low-speed train. There is nothing feel down about economy. The country’s economy has jumped from 91 billion dollar to 285 billion dollar in just 10 ten years. So, the people will remain in favour of the rising economy.
