Bangladesh will be in a state of total chaos if BNP-Jamaat could come to power. Killing-torture will descend on all the people of the country. The BNP-Jamaat government will torture the minority communities. BNP-Jamaat unleashed a reign of terror ahead of parliamentary elections in 2001. 1500 women were raped in a single union of Bhola district. The news was published in the media and the rights organizations rushed there. The journalists who went there to cover the news were put behind bars. Some of them were killed and we have not forgotten the murders.
The voters who are going to cast their votes for the first time will not be able to imagine the atrocities unleashed by BNP-Jamaat during 2001-05 period. However, we experienced the atrocity and became victims of torture. So it is hard for us to forget. Bangladesh became a sanctuary for terrorism and corruption.
Now we cannot distinguish between BNP and Jamaat. The two parties have blended into one. In other words, we can say that Jamaat has taken over BNP. The top leaders of Jamaat have been executed on charge of war crimes. BNP-Jammat is now waiting take revenge after coming to power. The pro-liberation forces will be targeted. It is now up to the people if the evil forces will come to power again or not.
