Daily Kaler Kantho senior reporter Layekuzzaman and daily Samakal senior reporter Amaresh Roy have been made president and general secretary respectively of Faridpur Journalist Foundation- Dhaka, reports The Daily Sun.
An 11-member executive committee was formed for 2019-2020 tenure at an emergency general meeting held at a restaurant in Purana Paltan of the capital on Tuesday.
The other office bearers are — Asaduzzaman, vice-president (Bhorer Kagoj); Sazzad Mahmud Khan, joint secretary (Alokito Bangladesh); Habib Rahman, organising secretary (Amader Shomoy); Masud Rana, treasurer (Dainik Sangbad); Arafat Jobayer, publicity secretary (Dainik Sangbad) and Shah Joglul Mehedi, office secretary (Dainik Sangbad).
Besides, other members — Md Esaraf Hossain Esa (the daily sun), Razib Khan (Rtv) and Ali Azam (Bangladesh Pratidin).
