Bodi’s vehicle comes under gun attack

    Criminals opened fire on the vehicle of incumbent ruling party lawmaker Abdur Rahman Bodi at Teknaf upazila in the district on Friday night, reports The Daily Sun.
    However, the lawmaker and others, who were in the vehicle, escaped unhurt.
    Sources said that Bodi and some Awami League (AL) leaders had been returning to Teknaf from Cox’s Bazar by the lawmaker’s vehicle. As the vehicle reached Kanjarpara under Hoaikong union in the upazila around 8:30pm, criminals opened fire on the vehicle from behind, they said.
    The glass at the rear side of the vehicle was damaged in the firing. Cox’s Bazar superintendent of police (SP) Masud Hossain confirmed the incident saying that police had launched an investigation into the incident.
