Raintree rape case: Main accused gets bail

Shafat Ahmed, the son of Dildar Ahmed, one of the owners of Apan Jewellers, received bail on Thursday morning in the Raintree rape case.
Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal 7 Judge Khademul Kayes passed the order, reports Dhaka Tribune. Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Court Chief Public Prosecutor Abdullah Abu stood for the state, whereas Kazi Nojibullah Hiru represented the accused.
Abdullah Abu said: “Granting bail is the decision of the court. We will appeal against the verdict.”
