In this regard, Dr. M. A. Hasan, Chairperson -War Crimes Facts Finding Committee, Bangladesh told that Jamaat-e-Islami is a political party who patronage and sponsor the war criminals. Election Commission (EC) has also cancelled the registration of Jamat- e- Islami. Therefore, if BNP gives nomination to Jamat-e-Islami leaders for the upcoming election then it should be considered as equivalent to aiding war criminals, which is a punishable offence under both national and international law. Now, as BNP is giving shelter to Jammat-e-leaders in the upcoming election then the EC and Ministry of Law should intervene.
