A student of Chittagong University (CU) drowned in Halda River in Hathazari upazila of the district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Noman, 25, a second year student of International Relations Department of CU. Noman hailed from Rangunia upazila of the district.On information, divers of the Fire Service and Civil Defense rushed to the spot and were conducting rescue operation till filing this report.
