A young man died after receiving a snakebite at Panchbaria village in Sadar upazila of Jessore district on Wednesday night.
The deceased, Rabiul Islam,30, son of Elias Hossain, a resident of Hashimpur Bazar area of the upazila, is a rickshaw-van puller of Hashimpur Liden Grammar School.
Liza Akter, wife of the deceased, said Rabiul was bitten by a venomous snake while he was trying to catch it from a neighbour’s house at about 7:30 pm.
Later, he was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injures at about 11:00pm. –UNB
