Listening to Daughter has a rather similar effect as listening to Damien Rice does (the hug thing). Daughter’s strengths lie also in the acoustic feel in their songs, which when coupled with Elena Tonra’s strong vocals makes such beautiful music. Their most popular song “Youth” perhaps best highlights the band’s strengths as it is filled with such touching lyrics, coupled with beautiful instrumental work and vocals filled with emotion.
