Govt asks US-Bangla to submit report on aircraft condition

The Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry on Thursday asked the US-Bangla Airlines to submit a report after checking all of their planes.
The ministry’s Secretary M Mohibul Haque told UNB that they wrote to the airlines authorities asking them to submit the report as soon as possible.
The government move came after Wednesday’s emergency landing of a US-Bangla aircraft at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong due to a glitch in one of its landing gear.
The Cox’s Bazar-bound flight was forced to make the emergency landing as its nose landing gear got locked and did not extend.
In July, another US-Bangla flight made an emergency landing at the same airport after one of its tires burst during take-off.
