Kabir Humayun: Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Sayeed Khokon yesterday vowed to present a traffic congestion free, safe and environment friendly city to the citizens within next two years.
The mayor told the journalists after the first meeting of the committee to introduce and coordinate the activities for bus route nationalisation and company based bus operation in the capital, reports New Age.
He sought cooperation from all people to give their opinions in this regard.
At the meeting he said they had fixed three main goals and these are to ease traffic congestion, ensure security of lives on roads and reduce air pollution in Dhaka by next two years.
The meeting was attended, among others, by officials from BRTA, BRTC, DTCA, DMP and DNCC.
