Desk Report: A court here on Tuesday convicted two people to life imprisonment for possessing drugs. The convicts are Mithu Islam, son of Rabiul Ilam and Kausar Ali, son of Mobarak Gazi of Chakla village in Jibonnagar upazila.The court also fined each of them Tk 10,000 in default to suffer one year more in rigorous imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two people along with 70 bottles of phensidyl from Kathaltala in Maheshpur upazila on June 7, 2012.
After examining records and witnesses Additional Session Judge Golam Azam handed down the verdict.
