Kabir Humayun: The BNP will now hold its rally on September 29 instead of September 27 in Dhaka. “I announced yesterday that the rally will be held on Thursday. It has been changed. Now the rally will be held on Saturday at the Suhrawardy Udyan,” said BNP Joint Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, reports bdnews24.com.
He announced the reschedule of the programme at a media briefing yesterday morning.
“In order to make this rally successful, our leaders and activists and all units are working in full swing. We hope the rally will be successful.”
When asked over permission from the police administration for holding the rally, Rizvi said, “We are yet to get the formal approval. But I hope we will be allowed.”
On Monday, the BNP announced its plan to stage the rally in the wake of the ‘National Oikya Prokriya’ meeting.
The last BNP rally was held at the party’s Nayapaltan headquarters on September 1.
