It is illegal in Kenya to have a homosexual relationship.
In April, Kenya’s film board banned ‘Rafiki’ for promoting lesbianism.
There has now been a lift on the ban, but only for seven days, and only because they want a shot at winning at the Oscars with the movie.

Why not lift the ban on the film forever? Why not lift the ban on homosexuality, on love and on every rights human to fall in love with who they like?
The movie follows two friends who fall in love. They try to stay together but struggle against the laws in Kenya which stops them being legally as one.
This is not a movie, this is a story, this is not an Oscar award.
    THIS IS REAL LIFE
