Employees of newspapers, agencies get 45% dearness allowance

    BDNews24: The government has announced that journalists and other employees of newspapers and news agencies will receive 45 percent dearness allowance, effective retrospectively from Mar 1. The announcement was
    made about seven and a half months after the formation of the ninth wage board, according to a notice issued by the information ministry on Tuesday. The employees of newspapers and news agencies would receive dearness allowance at 45 percent of basic salaries fixed under the eighth wage board.
