It’s no secret that The Lord of the Rings franchise has one of the biggest and most loyal fans base ever. So when the plans for the movies of The Hobbit was announced, LoTR fans were excited for the first time since the release of the last LoTR movie. But, now that all of the movies from the trilogy have been released, it’s time to compare the movies to be book.

The actual story is a prequel to the events of The LoTR and it revolves around Bilbo Baggins, the uncle of Frodo Baggins, who was the protagonist of the original LoTR saga. Bilbo, a respected and introverted hobbit is forced to embark on an adventure to aid the wizard, Gandalf the Grey and Thorin and his company of dwarves to reclaim their lost treasure. The entire story is written around the journey and the conflicts that ensue after they manage to get the treasure.

To be honest, I really feel like Peter Jackson puts a whole new visual spectrum in your mind when you watch the movies. From the first movie of the trilogy to the last, one is forced to stare in awe at the beautiful graphics and effects that advanced technology like CGI effects has allowed him to produce for example I was absolutely impressed by the appearance and detail in which Smaug, the gold hogging dragon was portrayed. In short, one has to admit that the movie gives an absolutely stunning visual representation that really does justice to the book. The casting for the movie was absolutely spot on with amazing performances from the actors and amazing soundtracks to keep us hooked.

The book has an intriguing way of narrating the story as is expected from a writer of J. R. R. Tolkien’s caliber. The book really manages to make you use your imagination to visualize the events in the storyline in a way that can only produce pleasurable entertainment while giving you a gripping play-by-play of every significant event in excruciatingly amazing detail. His fantasy books have always had an entrancing quality and The Hobbit is no different. The best thing is, Peter Jackson has done justice to the book by directing a movie that has impressed us all.
