Bangabandhu’s 3rd book to launch next book fair

    Raj Abrar: The third book authored by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be published in the next Amar Ekushey book fair.
    Bangla Academy will be publishing the travelogue book titled “Naya Chin Bhromon” (A journey to the new China). An English version of the book will also be published, translated by Professor of Dhaka University English Department Fakhrul Alam, reported BSS. Alam also translated Bangabandhu’s two other autobiographical books
    “Initially, 20,000 copies of the book will be printed in the first phase. Readers can collect the book from the inaugural day of the next book fair,” Bangla Academy Director General Shamsuzzaman Khan said, adding that “Naya Chin Bhromon” is based on Bangabandhu’s diary which was written during his journey to China.
    Khan added that Bangabandhu’s daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will write the preface of the book, while Bangabandhu Memorial Trust will hold the copyright.
    He hoped the cover unveiling ceremony of the book will be held at the inaugural day of the Amar Ekushey Granthamela.
    Bangabandhu’s first autobiographical book “Asamapto Atmajiboni” was published by the University Press Limited while his second autobiographical book ‘Karagarer Rojnamcha” was published by Bangla Academy.
