Banglanews24: A policeman was killed as a passenger bus crushed his motorbike in Mirpur area of Dhaka on Sunday afternoon. The deceased, identified as Uttam Kumar, was a sub-inspector of Rupnagar police station.
Shah Ali police station sub-inspector (SI) Shiuli Akhter said the incident took place at 4:30pm in Mirpur’s Rainkhola area when SI Uttam was heading to police station by a motorcycle. An Eagle Paribahan bus crushed the motorbike leaving him dead on the spot.
The bus was seized and driver, helper were detained. However, their identities could not been known yet, she added.
