Mujib does mean Bangladesh

Zakir Hossain, Chairman of Gono Front:

Mujib does mean Bangladesh, Mujib does mean independence. If he were not born, the birth of Bangladesh could not have been possible. The best Bangali of a thousand years, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s name is embodied with the name of Bangladesh and its independence. His name has mixed with the spirit and rise of the country. Without him, both Bangladesh and its liberation are beyond imagination.
Bangabandhu was a great leader having international standard. An effort was always there to stop the massive leadership and that’s why he was assassinated. A vested quarter comprising local and foreign culprits was behind the killing. Other than the international conspirators, there were some Awami League leaders linked to the criminal act. Some disgruntled military members directly carried out the killing mission. Maj Gen Ziaur Rahman was aware of the murder from before, but did not take any measure in this regard. Why did the army chief not know about the murder in advance or resist the move? Both the questions still remain unanswered.

Moreover, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal or Jasad was previously formed with the aim to trouble Bangabandhu—a fact that needs to be kept in mind. It is also mandatory to know the reason for Jasad’s rise. In a nutshell, Bangabandhu’s demise caused us irreparable losses, which can never be recovered.
