By following Bangaban-dhu’s ideals, Bangladesh will live forever. The conspirators who sought power by murdering the Father of the Nation were never on the side of Liberation. They rehabilitated Al Badr, Al Shams; they tried to demolish independent Bangladesh, but the people of the nation, inspired by Bangabandhu’s ideals and led by his daughter Sheikh Hasina, have taken the country towards fulfilling Bangabandhu’s dream. We, as a people, are now advancing forward in every aspect. Through Bangabandhu’s ideals Bangladesh will live forever.
Bangladesh would not have gained independence without Bangabandhu. Those who murdered him wanted to murder Bangladesh itself. They wanted the destruction of our independence. In his March 7 speech, Bangabandhu said, “Build up every house as a fortress, we have to fight the enemy with whatever we have.” Once again, we have to turn every home into a fortress, because forces working against Bangladesh are still active. We have to remain vigilant.
The murderers of Bangabandhu have been brought to justice, as well as the war criminals and traitors who worked for Pakistan. They never wanted a free Bangladesh. We have to remain on the look-out for them. We have to fight the conspirators who continue to support Al Badr, Al Shams, Razakars and are trying to prevent the trail of war criminals. We have to prevent them from seizing power. We have to resist and repel them at all costs.
