21 August blast: Investigating Officers’ Testimony begins

    On Monday the first investigating officer Amir Hossain, then SI gave testimony as 223rd witness in cases filled over the 21 August grenade attack.

    Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1’s  Judge Shahed Nuruddin recorded the statement.

    Amir Hossain was appointed as the first investigating officer on 22 August, a day after the deadly attack on Awami League (AL) rally at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on August 21, 2004. But on 23 August the case was transferred to CID .

    With this, a total of 223 out of 419 prosecution witnesses gave testimonies before the tribunal in the cases.
