Shakib to perform Hajj this year!

Sayeed Muhammad: Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan appears to be performing Hajj this, but the Our Time could not verify the fact by contacting him.
However, his verified Facebook page says that the ace all-rounder is set to go for the pilgrimage, one of the major pillars in Islam.
“In this blessed month of Dhu’l-Hijjah, I truly feel blessed, honoured and humbled to receive the Almighty Allah’s call to perform Hajj for the first time. As a dutiful Muslim, I feel an incredible awakening and excitement and look forward to performing this spiritual journey properly and safely with all of your blessings. Please forgive us and pray for us as I will pray for the love, peace and well-being of all of you, he wrote on the Facebook post.
Bangladesh Test and T20I captain captain Shakib al Hasan garnered severe criticism after a video showing him venting anger on a fan went viral of late. He, nevertheless, clarified his stance about the situation.
He expressed his desire to undergo a surgery before the Asia Cup, to be held in UAE from September 15, as he wants to take the field with full fitness.
The southpaw all-rounder had sustained the injury during a tri-nation series in January and disclosed during the tour of the West Indies that he wanted surgery as he had been playing with a lot of pain since then.
