First Networking Event by BSP

    Bangladeshi-American Society of Professionals (BSP) Inc., a newly established non-profit, organized its inaugural professional networking event at midtown Manhattan last Friday.
    A significant number of professionals and college students attended the event. In his welcome speech, BSP President Imtiaz R. Chowdhury emphasized on the organization’s mission, which is to create an active networking platform for Bangladeshi-American professionals.
    BSP also plans to develop and empower students and entry-level professionals through mentoring, network building, and knowledge sharing. Mark Rankine spoke as the guest speaker about how to network confidently and effectively.
    The keynote speech was delivered by Shahed Islam, CEO of SJ Innovation, on the event theme “Enrich and Empower”. In addition, the professionals and students utilized the open floor sessions to network and share experience and knowledge.
    In his closing remarks, Kamrul Khan – BSP VP of Professional Developments – thanked everyone for joining and invited all to participate in the mentoring program and future events. It should be noted that BSP is a registered non-profit under the New York Department of State, and currently in the process of obtaining tax-exempt status (i.e., 501c3) from the IRS.
